I know a few of you have asked about different bits of kit that I use, so I thought I’d write a list of everything here, which I’ll add to as my kit list grows! If theres something you’ve seen me using which you’d like to know more about, just let me know!

Tripod:

I use the Manfrotto 190 Go! 4 way tripod which has been a great choice for me as it packs into a small compact suitcase, is pretty light and reaches a decent height. the top arm also comes out as an overhead arm which is great too! I use it with the Manfrotto 3 way head which does everything I need it to do.

Other Kit Essentials:

  • Tether Tools Laptop Tethering Cable - https://amzn.to/3swWjUP - This really does level up your workflow, allowing you to see clearly what you’re shooting on screen and edit as you go. It also really helps the client to be able to visualise what you’re doing too. I have tried cheaper alternatives of this cable but found they stop working randomly and aren’t nearly as durable.

  • Tether Tools Jerk Stopper - https://amzn.to/2LDt8yX - only a little bit of plastic but It could save £££ of repair costs if someone pulls on the cable and you damage your camera port!

  • Large Diffuser/ Light Blocker / Reflector - https://amzn.to/35HZcsg - I have a few of these and would say they’re the most important bits of kit for me. The size of them means (100cm x 150cm) they’re great at leaning or sticking up to a window to diffuse or block light. They’re also what I use to diffuse artificial light too! They pack down and have a handy travel case so wont take up much room on the go either.
